Contemporary American Mezzotint exhibition opens at Perm State Art Gallery on April 8th, 2010.

In two hall there will be displayed works by 10 contemporary printmakers. In the United States printmaking is very popular. It is in the USA the headquarters of the International Mezzotint Society is located - the only association of mezzotinters in the world.

The exhibition will show a wide variety of methods and techniques - from classical to a drypoint method.
The Gallery's aim is to introduce contemporary art to Perm residents and to promote exchange of creative ideas and artistic experiences gained by Russian and American artists. This is why within the exhibition several workshops and lectures on the history of printmaking will be held. Tim Sandusky, the US Consul General, will officially open the exhibition.
